Mary Clyde Locklear Sesnauskas, 87, of Columbia, died peacefully, Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Born June 5, 1928 in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Clyde and Georgia Theresa Smoot Locklear. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Anthony Sesnauskas. Mary worked at Shakespeare and Crowson-Stone Printing Co. She was a past Matron of the Shandon Order of the Eastern Star #193, past President of the Rebekah Assembly, a member of the VFH Auxiliary, past Worthy High Priestess of Columbia White Shrine #6 and past Grand Chief of the Phythian Sisters of SC. She was also a member of St. Martin's-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Ann (John) Tracy of San Antonio, TX, Madeline Clayton of Columbia; granddaughter, Patricia (Todd) Cook of Ogden, UT; grandson, John Tracy of San Antonio, TX; great-granddaughter, Annalisa and her mother, DeLisa Leopold.
A graveside service for Mrs. Sesnauskas will be held 3:30 o'clock, Saturday, August 15th at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Sally Johnston officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
