Sam Robison, 78, died peacefully in his sleep Friday, June 24, 2016, at his home. He was born in Altoona, PA, to the late Margaret Ringler and Sam Robison. Mr. Robison attended Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was a founding member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mr. Robison was an avid bridge player and teacher, and a US Army Veteran. Known for his kind and gentle spirit, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Robison; sons, Jim Robison (Rose) and Dan Robison; daughters, Ginny Robison, Katie Mori (George), Meg McCarty (Matt) and Beth Robison; grandchildren, Travis, Candace and Heather Robison, Aidan and Joseph McCarty, Elizabeth, George and Cannon Mori; brothers, Tom Robison (Gretchen) and John Ringler (Stephanie).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 o'clock, Monday, June 27th, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Fr. C. Alexander McDonald celebrating. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Columbarium.
