Magdaleno Adrian Mendez, 18, of Columbia, died Friday, January 20, 2017. He was born in Westerville, OH on December 20, 1998 to Whitney Miracle and Jose Del-Carmen Mendez.

Adrian was a senior at Irmo High school. He loved playing basketball, was a gifted photographer including the photography for the Irmo High Wrestling Team and took Senior pictures for his friends at various spots in Columbia. He wanted to go to college for Graphic Design, which he taught himself and excelled in, including an online business editing people's videos. Adrian also had a special talent for creating beats, or background music for musicians. He had the ability to win people's hearts with his constant smile and infectious personality.

He is survived by his mother, Whitney Miracle; father, Jose Del-Carmen Mendez (Suri); a sister, Raquel Ortiz; step brothers, Robert Dominguez and Gilbert Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Lon and Nancy Miracle; paternal grandmother, Dolores Mendez; and paternal great grandmother, Doris Beams. He is also survived by his uncle, Jason Miracle (Chelsea) and their children, Wyatt and Maddy Miracle. Adrian was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Magdaleno Mendez.

The graveside service for Mr. Mendez will be held at 11 o'clock, Thursday January 26, 2017 at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington with the Rev. Dr. Thom Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia.
