Ann Joyce Windley, 98, died on Monday, July 11, 2022. Born in Mount Airy, NC, on December 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Robert Frank Joyce and Arminda "Minnie" Ball Joyce. Mrs. Windley attended Greensboro College. She was a very devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend.

Survivors include her sons, William H. Windley, III (Vivien), of Irmo, SC and John Frank Windley (Nancy), of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Claire Windley Rhodes, Elizabeth Ann Windley and John Burns Windley; great-grandchildren, Emily Ann Adams, Abigail Windley Adams, Carter Michael Rhodes, Ethan Blake Rhodes, Rhyley Catherine Windley, John William Windley and Rhaegan Camlin Windley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Windley, Jr; a daughter, Ann Joyce Windley; a granddaughter, Joyce Windley Adams; a great grandson, Alexander Brooks Windley; and siblings, Emily Joyce Copeland, Robert Frank Joyce, Jr., and William Ball Joyce.

The graveside service for Mrs. Windley will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 1333 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family locally and Miller-Boles Funeral Home is assisting the family in Sanford, North Carolina.
