Ardis Clinton Harper, III, 59, of Columbia, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Born November 19, 1956 in Fort Bragg, NC, he was a son of June Marie Gilhousen Harper and the late Ardis Clinton Harper, Jr. Ardis grew up in Columbia, graduated from Spring Valley High School and attended USC. He worked for The State Newspaper for 20 years and the Burger King Corporation for 14 years. He was dearly loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Robert Harper (Beth), Blair Harper, Jeffery Harper, Jim Harper, George Harper, and Jon Harper; sisters, Addie Calvitt (Jeff), June Marie Rodriquez, and Betty Barron (Bill); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, November 28th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Friday evening at the funeral home.
