Charlotte Teresa Burrows, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home in Arcadia Lakes surrounded by her loved ones.
Charlotte was born in 1928 in Washington, DC to Sophie W. and Frank J. Holtmann. She graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Bethesda, Maryland in 1945 and then worked at the National Bureau of Standards in Washington, DC until her marriage to Raymond Robert (Bob) Burrows in 1948. She was a devoted homemaker and mother to two daughters, Linda Charlotte and Donna Rae.

Charlotte and Bob retired to the Columbia area in 1980 where she enjoyed gardening and lunches out with her many friends. One of Charlotte's greatest joys was spending time at Edisto Beach with her family including her grand dog, Hannah.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, and daughter, Linda Burrows Hodgson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Burrows; her son-in-law, John Hodgson; grandchildren, Robert George Schoolmeester, Jennifer Lynn Walden, and Brian Raymond Hodgson; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering for friends and family will be held at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, on Wednesday, May 10, from
5 o'clock-7 o'clock. Her burial will be held at a later date at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, Maryland.
