Cleo T. Stone, 87, of Columbia, died Monday, August 24, 2020. Born August 3, 1933 in Hollytree, AL, she was one of ten children of the late Henry Thrower and Lucy Sanders Thrower.
An avid gardener, Ms. Stone loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Raynor (Mary Sue Kirkland), Edward R. Stone (Robin), Ronald L. Stone; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great great- grandchildren; sisters, Judy Cox, and Veda Wooten. In addition to her parents, Ms. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, Naymond Stone; daughters, Deborah Vidro, Karen Sue Battle; two brothers; and seven sisters.

A graveside service will be held 3 o'clock, Thursday, August 27th, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd., Columbia, SC, 29203. The family will greet friends prior to the service at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel from 1 o'clock to 2:15. Due to the concerns with Covid-19, social distancing and masks are expected. A livestream of the service will be available and can be accessed by visiting the funeral home website on the day of the service.
