Daniel "Danny" Kevin Vanmansart, 54, of Columbia, died Monday, October 26, 2020. Born July 31, 1966, in Columbia, he was the son of Louis James Vanmansart and Sara Ann (Morris) Vanmansart.

Danny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being outdoors, especially when he had the opportunity to go hunting and fishing and being on the water. He loved going to the Drag Races and Football games with his sister and friends and watching NASCAR. Danny was known for his compassionate disposition and took great pleasure in sharing his love with family and friends. He never met a stranger and deeply cared for people. He was an abstract thinker, using his creative abilities as an artist to become a successful draftsman in the automotive industry and then later used his talents in the construction and home improvement industry. Along his journey in life, Danny made many long-lasting friendships. His ability to make people laugh and his loving personality will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Columbia are his son, Kevin Michael Vanmansart of Swansea; sister, Melissa Ann Broadway of Charlotte; brother, Michael Todd Vanmansart (Julie Christine) of Camden; niece, Britt Marie Broadway; nephews, Bailey Todd Vanmansart (fiancé Faye Hicks) and Michael Blake Vanmansart (Sylvia); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Saturday, October 31st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC 29223.

Everyone is invited to attend but will be asked to abide by the state's recommendations of wearing masks and social distancing to provide a safe environment for all.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held privately.
