Donald "Don" Francis Busbey, 61, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2021 from natural causes.

He was born December 14, 1959, in an American Military Hospital in Germany. Don served his country honorably from 1980 to 1986 as a Specialist in the New York National Guard. He was a very hard worker and was well respected by his peers. Don had an extensive work history and had been employed in sales over the last 23 years. His current position was as a Sales Manager for Home Team Pest Defense, where he was employed for the last 10 years. Don was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was always the fun-loving, life-of-the-party man who would give you the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Busbey; Josh's mother, Jennifer Lamon; step-mother, Renee Busbey; step-daughters, Kate, April, Samantha, and Kristen; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many friends.

A memorial service for Don will be held 3 o'clock Friday, May 7th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service at the funeral home beginning at 2 o'clock.
