Elizabeth R. Dannelly, 96, of Columbia, died Monday, February 28, 2022. Born July 3, 1925, in Johnston, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Irving Reames, Sr. and Annabelle Jackson Reames. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hartley Gordan Dannelly; son, Gary Gordan Dannelly; and her brother, William Irving Reames, Jr.

Mrs. Dannelly graduated from the University of South Carolina with an associates degree in accounting. She retired as an accountant from the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Dannelly was the matriarch of a large and loving family, to whom she left an enduring and eternal legacy.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna D. Reid (Richard) of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Dannelly of Seabrook Island, SC; grandchildren, Kimberly Gates (Jeremy), Keith Reid (Marcie), Ryan Reid (Katie), Edward Dannelly, Annabel Lowrance (Parker); as well as ten great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The memorial service for Mrs. Dannelly will be held at 11:30 o'clock, Friday, March 11th, in Boyce Chapel at First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Humphries and Pastor Reid Daniel Adams officiating. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in History Hall at First Baptist Church. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
