Obituary

Mr. G. Allan LaMontagne, died Friday, January 15,2021. Born May 10, 1937, in Lordsburg, NM, he was a son of the late Laurier Joseph LaMontagne and Frances McDonnell LaMontagne.

A graduate from the University of South Carolina, he went on to attend and earn his master's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California. Allan joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for 23 years and retired as a Colonel.

Following his Air Force career, he successfully began and operated his business in commercial property tax consulting. He retired after recognizing his health was declining due to Parkinson's disease.

Allan will be remembered for his love of golf and his servant's heart to God and others.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Bess LaMontagne; daughters Laura and Renee LaMontagne; granddaughter Rachel Silver (Timothy). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Joseph LaMontagne.

The funeral service for Mr. LaMontagne will be held 12:30 o'clock, Monday, January 25, 2021, at Northeast Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at 2 o'clock, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, from 4 until 6 o'clock.
