Hunter James Burns, 20, of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on February 4, 2003, he was the eldest son of Christopher Marshall Burns and Rebecca Landrum Burns.
Hunter graduated from Lexington High School and pursued a career in the automotive industry. He most recently worked for Honda of Columbia. Hunter was a true outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed spending time in the woods and being with his brothers. His passion for music and rap inspired him to produce his own album. Hunter was an avid Clemson football fan, although still loved to catch a Carolina game with his dad. He was a gentleman with the most pure, loyal heart and was the kind of person you always wanted to be around. His bubbly personality brought so much joy to others, he is loved and will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Caden and Logan Burns; maternal grandparents, Debra Ann and Joseph B. Landrum III; paternal grandmother, Susan Larimer; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved dog, Miller. He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Danny A. Burns.
The Celebration of Life for Hunter will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, June 28th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 o'clock.
