Judy Risinger Benton, 68, died Monday, February 29, 2016, at her home in Leesville. Born in Columbia on June 6, 1947, she was a daughter of Ruth Cockrell Risinger and the late Eugene Risinger.

Judy is survived by her mother of Lexington; husband, Doug Benton, Pastor, of the home; daughters, Laura Barnett Jumper (Steven) of Gilbert and Anna Barnett Berger (Bart) of Lexington; 4 stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Joye Smith; and a nephew, Van Smith. In addition to her father, Judy is preceded in death by her nephew, Rodney Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday, March 12th at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. A celebration of her life and visitation will follow in the Christian Life Center of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehoboth UMC, Music Camp Fund, 6911 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Judy's greatest wish, if God should lead you, would be to adopt a child through Compassion International.
