Judy Karen Briley, 64, was promoted to her heavenly reward, on Tuesday, September 27, 2021.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Jacob Briley. She is survived by her mother, Lenora Briley of Smiths Station, AL, brother Randy Briley (Lisa) of Phenix City, AL, sister Bonnie Burns (Robert) of Smiths Station, AL, and sister, Tracy Kelly (Nathan) of Ft. Drum, NY. Judy was blessed with several nieces and nephews, Justin Briley (Carleigh), Jonathan Briley (China), Emmerson Kelly, Emma Kelly, Ella Kelly, Everett Kelly, and Ezra Kelly. Judy took joy in her great nieces and nephews, River Briley, Harper Briley, Piper Briley, Braxten Carr, Brookelynn Carr, Cameron Smith, and Kaleigh Smith.

Judy was a registered nurse who knew profoundly that lives were in her hands. She kept that as the main thing throughout her career and was highly respected and admired by all with whom she worked and served. The medical profession has lost a guardian angel, but heaven has gained a treasured soul. Her family will miss her laughter, compassion, generosity, and beauty. Rest well, dear one, for Jesus has welcomed you home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1st, from 5:00 until 7:00 o'clock in the evening, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext Columbia, SC. On Monday, October 4th, the family will have a private internment for Judy at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, AL.
