Kay F. Peake Henderson, 70, of Elgin, SC, died on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born August 24, 1950, in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter to the late Walter Sam Peake and Juanita Virginia Peake.

Ms. Kay was an active member of Midway United Methodist Church and often referred to her church family as her second family. She was a godly woman who loved her family and friends unconditionally.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Richard E. Henderson; siblings, Jimmy Peake (Michelle), Jerry Peake, Sylvia Sanders, Jeannie Gryder (Russell); sister-in-law, Cynthia Sissy Peake; 17 nieces and nephews; 21 great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Sammy A. Peake; and sister, Sandra Peake.

A graveside service will be held 10 o'clock, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Midway Independent Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Hacker officiating. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family. The family will greet friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
