Lawrence William Rabon
Columbia: Lawrence William Rabon, 71, of Columbia, died Saturday, December 29, 2012. Born November 25, 1941 in Lugoff, he was a son of Edith Miles Rabon Caughman and the late Talmadge Wayne Rabon. Mr. Rabon served his country in the US Air Force and went on to open Rabon's Grocery in Blythewood.
Survivors include his mother, Edith Miles Rabon Caughman; daughters, Cheryl Riddle of Monroe, MI, Debra Rabon of Florida; a son, Jeff Lawrence Rabon of Bedford, MI; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Betty Shannon Rabon. In addition to his father, Mr. Rabon was preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Dorn and a brother, Charles W. Rabon.
A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock, Monday, January 7, 2013 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
