Louise Elizabeth Hightower, 94, of Lexington, died peacefully, Saturday, April 11, 2015. Born March 16, 1921 in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Mary Miller Hightower. Miss Hightower graduated from Mountain View High School in Taylors, SC and earned her bachelor's degree at Winthrop University. She was the chief dietician at the VA Hospital in Columbia for many years. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and served on the St. Mary's Guild and Altar Guild.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Thelma Hightower of West Columbia and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles Hightower, George Hightower, and Fred Brown.

A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC with The Rev. Scott R. Fleischer officiating. Memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 2827 Wheat Street, Columbia, SC 29205 or to the charity of one's choice. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
