Mr. Luther N. Arnette's Obituary
Luther N. Arnette, age 99, born in Perdido, AL and a resident of Gilbert, SC died Monday, July 11, 2022.
He was retired from St. Regis (International Paper) where he worked as a Machinist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He loved the Atlanta Braves and rarely missed watching a televised game. In his spare time, he could be found with a pen and ruler in hand, always searching for a word in his "Search a Word" books.
He is survived by his children, Luther Glenn Arnette of Summerville, SC, Theresa Redmon of Columbia, SC, and Belinda (Albert) Sharpe of Gilbert, SC. Luther was the proud Paw-Paw of ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby E. Arnette.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at a later date.
