Mrs. Mary Smyrl's Obituary
Mary Thomas Smyrl, 88, of Columbia, died Thursday, May 21, 2015. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Benton Thomas and Lelia Phillips Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Oneal Smyrl; sons, Terry Cauthorn of Indian Trail, NC, and Larry (Denise) Cawthorn of Brentwood, CA. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Cawthorn; and brothers, Thurman, Hoyle and Joseph Thomas.
A graveside service for Mrs. Smyrl will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, May 26th, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
