Darren Owen McKagen, II, 28, of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Born to the late Darren Owen McKagen and Virginia Ray Hendricks, he was married to Hunter Boyle. A graduate of University of South Carolina, he loved his family and friends, his dog, Biggs, the theater, gardening, and attending Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. He was a world traveler, avid current events reader and USC football fan.

He is survived by his spouse, Hunter Boyle, mother, Virginia Ray (Dwight) Hendricks of Lamar; brothers, Christopher Ray McKagen of Hartsville, Michael Lee McKagen, of Raleigh; grandparents, Carroll and Janet Ray of North Augusta, Hildred Phinizy (Harry) Shearer of Augusta, Brenda Anderson Ray of Augusta, Dwight and Sandy Hendricks of Lamar; uncles and aunts, Marty and Teena Ray of Charlotte, Michael and Kim Ray of North Augusta, Carroll and Diane Ray, of Rankin, IL, Phillip McKagen, Alex and Valerie McKagen, all of Augusta, Coles McKagen of Atlanta; along with nine cousins and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held eleven o'clock, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. The family will greet friends following the service.
