After 81 years of faithful service to the Lord, Rigba Conner Wolfe, finished his race on August 18, 2017. Born June 5, 1936, to Asbury and Julia Wolfe in Neeses, SC, he was the youngest of nine children, and was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Rigba gave his life to Jesus as an 18-year old. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He married Ruth Linderholm in 1960 and together they served the Lord for 57 years. He was the Physical Plant Director at Columbia International University for 36 years, retiring in 1998. He was ordained to the ministry in 1967 and served as a pastor of Beaver Creek Baptist Church and in prison ministry, youth ministry, as a Sunday School teacher, and host extraordinaire through the years!
He will be remembered for living a life of generosity to all. He loved his wife and family well and lived an exemplary life of integrity and hard work, leaving behind so many sweet memories. He whistled while he worked and always had a song on his lips. Even when his body was broken he maintained a song. His favorite was Near to the Heart of God.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, six children, Brenda (Hub) Blankenship, Rigba Wolfe Jr., Scott (Kelli) Wolfe, Cindy (Don) Muncie, Beverly (Rudy) Colombo, and Lori (Trahern) Cook, as well as 16 grandchildren.
