Mr. Ron Elvis Hunter, 67, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 14, 2014. He was born on October 31, 1946, in Chicago, IL. A proud graduate of Georgia Tech's engineering program, Mr. Hunter worked in Camden with DuPont for 32 years, and with Invista for 10 years. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love for life that will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Hunter; daughter, Carley Hunter; step sons, Brandon Alford, and Sean Alford; grandchildren, Tristan Alford, Jude Alford, and Brooklyn Alford; and siblings, Curtis Hurt, Linnie Waters, Diane Eubanks, Anthony Palhegy, Eddie Palhegy, and Marge Chibe. Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his brother, Junior Hurt, and by his parents, George and Ruby Hurt.
