Ryan Aaron Fleming, 23, of Columbia, died Saturday, June 23, 2012. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Eric R. Fleming and Vicky Peake Prewitt.

Ryan was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover and was a member of Blythewood Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include his beloved dog Dublin; mother, Vicky (Brian) Prewitt of Camden; father, Eric (Sandy Lawyer) Fleming of Blythewood; sisters, Amber Prewitt of Camden, Christy (Michael) Floyd of Elgin; brother, Chris Prewitt of Hopkins; grandparents, James C. (Marilyn) Fleming of Columbia; grandmother, Diane H. Fleming of Sumter; grandparents, Kenneth and Linda Brazell of Lugoff. Ryan was preceded in death by a grandfather, Samuel Peake.

The funeral service for Ryan will be held at 11 o'clock, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at New Kirk Presbyterian Church, 491 Langford Road, Blythewood. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Campground Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
