Ted Lyle Mount, 45, of Columbia, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, on January 26, 1977, he was a son of the late Buddy Hoyle Mount and Kathie Kay Morris Swindler. Ted was a graduate of Dreher High School where he played football and joined ROTC. He was employed with CR Jackson Construction and enjoyed playing video games, watching movies and spending time with his dog, Timber.

Survivors include his sister, Becky Swindler; brother, Todd Mount; nieces and nephews, Kyle Swindler, Chandler Mount, Mackenzie Mount, and Sam Mount; and uncle, Ardie Morris (Roxie). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Reba Morris.

The funeral service for Mr. Mount will be held at 11 o'clock, Sunday, March 6th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with Pastor Donald Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Hinson, Dalton Hinson, Jeffrey Freeman, Cody Dixon, Caleb Lowe and Kade Bell.
