Timothy Ray Whitmer, 54, of Lexington, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Born on September 11, 1959 in Franklin, PA he was a son of Allene Ruth Master Whitmer and the late Duane Newton Whitmer. Timothy enjoyed serving the people of Columbia as a window tinter over the past 35 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Rachael Evonne Whitmer of North, SC; brothers, Dave Whitmer, and Don Whitmer both of New Albany, IN, Tom (Becky) Whitmer of Westfield, IN, and Gene Whitmer of Columbia; sisters, Sharon (Ray) Leamer of Marydel, DE, Kathy Smith of Columbia, and Lori (David) Evans of Leesville; granddaughter, Ashlynn Grace Louise Whitmer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock, Saturday, January 11th at Ebenezer Holiness Baptist Church, 1008 Old Sloan Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Kenneth Walter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Thursday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Memorials may be made to The American Kidney Cancer Assoc., P.
