Vikram G. Melchizedec, only son of Latha Janet and Vijay Samson was born on May 10, 1996 in Chennai, TN, India. Along with his parents, he moved to the United States at the age of eight, and studied in Satchelford Elementary, Summit Middle School and Spring Valley High School. In 2017 Mel graduated as a Computer Engineer from the University of South Carolina and was immediately absorbed by FAST ENTERPRISES USA as an Implementation Consultant.

On December 19, 2019 at 11:00 pm Mel left us all suddenly. To all who knew Mel, he was an absolutely loving, kind, courteous, respectful young man. He did extremely well in his studies and his family was so proud of him.

As a young adult he was seen by others as a sweet, well mannered, versatile boy. Among his peers he was the go-to person for organizing events. At work, FAST says he was a source of enrichment and happiness to all who knew him. They said Mel was always held with the highest regard by his friends, co-workers and supervisors.

The funeral service for Mel will be held 1:30 o'clock, Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Boyce Chapel of First Baptist Church, 1306 Hampton Street, Columbia with Rev. Richard Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, 867 State Road S-20-67, Ridgeway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:30 pm.
