Virginia Spearman Dunn, 63, of Pelion, died Monday, August 19, 2013. Born in Columbia on November 14, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Foyle Ellis and Mary Touchberry Spearman. Virginia worked at the University of South Carolina for many years, and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, William Dunn, Sr.; sons, William (Robin) Dunn, Jr. of Lexington, Robert (Stacie) Dunn of Pelion; step-daughter, Gina Kerr; grandchildren, Lucas, Rachel and Trevor; step-grandchildren, Kristi, Jessica and Hayden-Grace; as well as her brother, Michael (Donna) Spearman of Columbia.

The funeral service for Mrs. Dunn will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, August 23rd, at Red Bank Baptist Church, with The Rev. Robert A. Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Campbell, Mark Scott, Jason and Jacob Sellers, Jerry Boatright, Marion Spearman and Jimmy Mosley. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Thursday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia.
