Columbia – Dylan Thomas Lightfoot, 23, of Columbia, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Born in Columbia on February 23, 1993, he was a son of Thomas E. Lightfoot, Jr. and Adena Rhea Ray.

Dylan was raised and christened in the Episcopal Church but attended New Spring Church where he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Though he was lighthearted and lived for the moment, Dylan was kind, loving, caring, and compassionate with an infectious laugh. He was an engaging person and the best friend anyone could have. His legacy is that he loved and loved well.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Cameron and Veda Lightfoot; brother, Noah Ray; maternal grandparents, Sallie and Harold "Bud" Corson; paternal grandmother, Ruby Jarvis; aunts and uncles, Eric Rhea, Aleisha (Brian) Pittman, Evan (Tracy) Corson, Amanda (Bill) Cecil, Teresa (Rob) Whiting; step-grandmother, Debbie Rhea; uncle, Jason Rhea; and aunt, Stephanie Rhea-Williams; as well as numerous cousins. Dylan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Lightfoot, Sr. and maternal grandfather, Lawrence "Larry" Rhea.

Dylan's funeral will be held 11 o'clock, Friday. December 30th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, Columbia, with The Rev'd Dr. Phillip H. Whitehead officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock.
