Ms. Jalee Arian Moran, a.k.a, Julie Duncan, 35, of Columbia, died on Friday, October 4, 2013. Born April 18, 1978, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of Billy T. Duncan and Sandra Ramey Wolters.
A graduate of Spring Valley High School, and member of St. David's Episcopal Church, Jalee loved serving others as a medical technician with Richland County Emergency Medical Services. She enjoyed music and poetry, and sang in the Governor's Musical Christmas program for several years. Jalee was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Survivors include her daughter, McKayla Moran; mother, Sandra Wolters and fiancée, Warren Perry of Columbia; father, Billy T. Duncan of Easley, SC; brothers, Lt. Billy Duncan, II (USN Retired) and his wife, Laurie of Elizabeth City, NC, Michael Duncan and his wife, Kelli of Rutherfordton, NC; grandmother, Mary Anders of Greenville, SC; godmother, Connie McEachern of Columbia; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her step-father, John Wolters.
A funeral service for Ms. Moran will be held, 3 o'clock, Sunday, October 6th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Memorials may be made to Pets, Inc., 300 Orchard Dr., West Columbia, SC, 29170.
