A Funeral service for Margaret Dixon Brazell, 87, of Elgin, will be conducted at 10 o'clock, Friday, October 18th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow the service in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Thursday evening at the funeral home. Following the burial at Crescent Hill, the family invites you to attend a reception at the Blythewood 7th Day Adventist Church, 764 Grover Wilson Road, Blythewood.

Mrs. Brazell passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2019 at Kershaw Medical Center. Born in Richland County, SC, on May 20, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Ozella Geneva Hare Dixon.

Survivors include her sons, David C. Brazell of Elgin, Richard G. Brazell (Teresa) of Lugoff, James E. Brazell of Blythewood, and Mark A. Brazell (Pearlie Ann) of West Columbia; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Barbara Tobias and Helen Blume; brothers, Tommy A. Dixon (Peggy), Ronald T. Dixon (Marveen) and Stanland Dixon, (JoAnn). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brazell is preceded in death by her husband, Colie Brazell; and a brother, James W. Dixon.

Mrs. Brazell was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Elgin Church of God and worked for Sunbird Boat Company as a supervisor.
