Obituary

Mrs. Maudine "Cookie" Busby, 81, of Columbia, died on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Born on January 10, 1931, in Blythewood, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Frederick Cook and Alma Elizabeth Walker Cook. Mrs. Busby was a full-time volunteer minister and member of the Central English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include sisters, Kathy Henderson (Wayne), and Jackie Foote (Dwight), along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Busby.

A memorial service for Mrs. Busby will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, December 19th, at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 120 Warner Drive, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home is assisting the family.
