Columbia: Sally Beaty Evans, 80, of Columbia, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Born in Coney Island, NY, on August 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Bell Grimsley Beaty. Sally worked with ETV, was a member of Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, and was a very avid Gamecock fan. A special thank you to Valerie Barr for your love and friendship to Mrs. Evans.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harvey Wilson Evans of Columbia; daughters, Melody (Kirby) Harrelson of Columbia and Susan (Mitchel) Harrelson of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Jeffrey McMillan of Seoul, South Korea, Evan Harrelson of Columbia, Harvey Kimble of Lexington, Bratton and Jordan Harrelson, both of Columbia, Sally Harrelson of Myrtle Beach, Joshua Harrelson of Columbia, Thomas and Anna Grace Harrelson, both of Myrtle Beach; sister, Irene Warner of Irmo; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail McMillan Kimble; son-in-law, Alvin Kimble, Jr., Jesse Donald McMillan, Jr.; and brothers, Thomas and Paul Beaty.

The funeral service for Mrs. Evans will be held 2 o'clock, Monday, November 26, 2012, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia. The Rev. L. Craig Wilkes will be officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
