Mrs. Thelma Dugosh's Obituary

Thelma Delores Dugosh, 90, of Columbia, died Monday, January 11, 2016. Born February 20, 1925, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late William Alva and Annie Lula Wise Ready. Mrs. Dugosh worked in the business office at Columbia College until her retirement and later enjoyed being a volunteer with the Primetimers of Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church. Mrs. Dugosh was a loving mother and grandmother and was considered "The Best Mother Ever."

Survivors include her sons, George Dugosh (Leslie) of Atlanta, GA, and James M. Dugosh of Columbia, SC; daughter, Linda D. Travis (Bill) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Connor Dugosh of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Evelyn Kalutz of Camden, SC. In addition to her parents and her husband, Eugene G. Dugosh, Thelma was preceded in death by siblings, William A. Ready, Jr., Austin Ready, and Rae Roberts.

The funeral service for Mrs. Dugosh will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, January 14th, at Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 N. Main Street, Columbia, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock and The Rev. Steven Bouknight officiating. Burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. Memorials may be made to Eau Claire Baptist Church.
