Obituary
Thomas W. Melcher, 62, of Pelion, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 16th, 2022. Tom was born July 19th, 1960 in Lockport, New York to Bessie Melcher Taylor (Jack). Tom loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and he enjoyed watching NASCAR races.
Tom is survived by his wife, Susan C. Melcher (Stover) of Pelion; his son, Paul K. Melcher (Helen), of West Columbia; his four daughters, Shaylee B. Grant (J.R.), Jasmine M. Melcher (B.J.) both of Pelion, Crystal R. Simpson (Victor), and Loriann Hasert (Mike) both of New York; his 18 grandchildren; his two great grandchildren; his two sister-in-laws, Faith Laport and Pam Stover, both of New York; his brother, Jak Taylor; his three sisters, Lori, Peggy, and Jaki; and several nieces and nephews. Tom is predeceased by his parents and two brothers.
The memorial service will be held at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd. Ext. Columbia, SC on Saturday, October 22nd at 6pm. The family will receive guests prior to the service at 5pm.
