I can't say enough about the professional and compassionate care our family experienced from the owners and all the staff at Shives. They were so helpful setting up for the visitation at the funeral home, coordinating with the cemetery and helping us with every detail. They are not just a funeral home, they go above and beyond and seem to minister as a calling, not just a business. Our family is so grateful for all they did for us.

After my husband's very unexpected death during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, my family and I were very shaken by his passing. We are so thankful that everyone we asked recommended to go to Shives. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with love and care and never felt rushed or pressured to commit to anything. They take care of you and everything that needs attention. Have had several services there in the last few years, the last two was my brother and my Mom. Bobby Raines came in on his weekend off just to handle my Mom’s needs, since he is from Blythewood and knows my sister and her family well. I can not express how professional he and the staff always are. They make a difficult time a little easier to handle.

This is one of the best run businesses you will come across. Excellent prompt service and a friendly knowledgeable staff. Shives takes care of everything for you and makes it easier for you to get through this difficult time. All this topped off with finding a priest who conducted a beautiful funeral service for us.

I know. How can you possibly love a funeral home? Well. It's family owned and they're very personal. Randolph Shives is an amazing caring man who never leaves tour side as you make your loved ones final preparations. We all will eventually make it there and I will definently make it my final place.
