1SGT Peter Brown Jackson Sr., 69, of Columbia, died Friday, September 23, 2022. Born September 10, 1953, in Elmore County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Samuel and Claudia Long Jackson. He honorably served his country forover 20 years in the US Army. He dedicated his life to his family and especially loved his seven grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Petra Jackson; sons, Peter Jackson Jr. (Sharonda) and Steven Jackson (Florette); siblings, Minerva, Thompson (Linda), Sammy (Joanna), Marvin (Dorothy); as well as seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Lee, Frank, Sr., Nebertha, and Hattie.

The memorial service for 1SGT Jackson will be held at 11:30 o'clock, Wednesday, September 28th at North Columbia Church of Christ, 1211 Inland Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.

Burial will follow at 2 o'clock at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
