Betty Mae Bundrum, 83, died peacefully in her sleep on February 23, 2022, at home. She was born May 21, 1938, in Anniston, Alabama and was the daughter of Neal and Clara Hunnicutt Haynes. Betty graduated from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Alabama, where she lived most of her life before moving to Columbia, SC. She then moved to Blythewood, SC in 2018 to live with her family. She retired from Richland Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Food Service Department. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Callahan and Bobbie Jean Hohenberger; and her brother, Raymond Haynes. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Rowe (Thomas) of Blythewood; grandchildren, Jennifer Davis of Blythewood, Stacy Hare (Rob) and Kimberly Rowe Elrod of Columbia, Tommy Longshore (Jill) of Pomaria; great-grandchildren, Emmilie Davis, Kiley Reitz, Taylor Longshore, Landon Elrod, Tyler Hare, and Jaxon Brazel; brothers, Billy Haynes (Elaine) and Danny Haynes of Anniston, Alabama; a sister, Elizabeth Hatfield (Dave) of Surprise, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, February 27th, at 4 o’clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with Rev. Thomas Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Shives Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Duffie, Mike McKay, Kevin Parham, Keith Birdsell, Rev. Robert Sloan, Christian Esquivel and David Hartness, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elmwood Church of God, 1427 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201
