Mr. Brian Kelly Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Brian Kelly Martin, 59, of Columbia, died on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, on February 14, 1963, he was a son of Lillie Branham Martin Cooper and the late Leon Kelly Martin. Brian was a graduate of Richland Northeast High School and enjoyed playing soduku and listening to music. Even with all that he went through, Brian never lost his sense of humor and had those around him laughing. He was employed in his career with NAPA Auto Parts and Car Doctors. Survivors include his mother, Lillie Martin Cooper; siblings, Kathy Smith (Andy), Alan Martin (Deb), Joyce Sargunaraj (Stephen) and Lisa Roche (Danny); and a brother-in-law, Bill Parrish. Brian had a large, loving family and leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Parrish. The family would like to acknowledge Sheila Morrison for her love and care in recent months, as well as all of the other nurses, doctors, hospital staff, caregivers and especially Amedisys Hospice for their support to Brian during his illness. The funeral service for Mr. Martin will be held at 12 o’clock, on Wednesday, June 22nd at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4440 Fort Jackson Blvd, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends in the relief society room prior to the service beginning at 11 o’clock. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
