Charlotte Boykin Pool Jackson, 97, of Lugoff, South Carolina died on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Born in Greenville, South Carolina on May 18, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Otho Richard Singleton and Nelly Boykin Pool. Charlotte was a graduate of Blaney High School and Spartanburg Methodist College. She was a faithful member of Smyrna United Methodist Church, serving in many positions and worked in the regional office of Veterans Administration. In earlier years, she and Raymond were members of Main St. Methodist Church where she taught children Sunday School classes and sang in the Senior Choir. Charlotte was a kind, gentle soul who loved everyone she met, and she had a special place in her heart for animals. Who would have ever thought Charlotte loved square dancing as much as she did. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Johnny Jackson; sister-in-law, Carmen Pool; nieces and nephews, Carolyn P Lomas, Otho S Pool Jr., Tom Pool, Steve Pool, Susan P. Wilhelm, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond Jackson. The graveside service for Mrs. Jackson will be held 5 o’clock, Thursday, June 17th, at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Stewart C. Kidd officiating. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. The family wishes to thank NHC Parklane for their kind and thoughtful care of Charlotte over the last 4 years.
