Mr. Danny Franklin Vance

Danny Franklin Vance, 91, died on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11, 2021. Born in Fort Branch, West Virginia, Danny is the son of Jesse and Lillie Trent Vance. He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Soldoina Teresa Gonzalez Vance; their children: Danny O’Neil (Lisa) Vance, Lora (Mike) Beecher, Janice Vance and Jonathan (Angela) Vance; grandchildren: Serina and Michael Beecher, Danielle Peeler, Alyssa Poh, Jennifer Keyer and Courtney Vance. Danny honorably served his country in the United States Air Force as an Electrical Warfare Technician and retired from active duty in 1971. After serving, he and Soldoina moved their family to Columbia, South Carolina where he enjoyed a career in banking with First National Bank of South Carolina. In his leisure time, Danny enjoyed his golfing buddies at Fort Jackson Golf Course and made many life- long friends playing there. He was a Bantamweight Boxing Champion in 1948 and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed mission trips to Honduras and Mexico. He enjoyed being an active member of Victory Bible Baptist Church for many years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. John Seydlitz officiating.
