Jaime Juico Pineda, 76, of Columbia, SC, passed away on June 20, 2023. Born on July 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Jose C. and Severina Juico Pineda.

Born in the Philippines, Jaime migrated to the United States in 1983 with his beautiful wife of almost 53 years, Alice. He lived in New York until his retirement from the Depository Trust Company in 2015 when he then reunited with his family in South Carolina. Jaime was a proud member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Jaime will always be remembered for his warm personality that always ensured he was the "life of the party." His love to cook and travel were unmatched for the love he shared for his family, especially his adoring grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Alice, Jaime is survived by his children, John Benedict Pineda (Jeff Walters), Maria Jhoanna Pineda-Kim (Su Kim), James Timothy Pineda (Dr. Brandon Smaglo), Joseph Andrew Pineda; grandchildren, Maria Meghan Kim, Sara Abigail Kim, Nicole Grace Kim; and many loving brothers and sisters. In addition to his parents, Jaime is preceded in death by many loving brothers and sisters.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Pineda will be held at 12 o'clock on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. A rosary will be held at 5 o'clock on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Extension, Columbia, SC 29223. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 7 o'clock.
