Ms. Linda Y. Paschal

Linda Young Paschal, 76, of Columbia, died on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Born October 20, 1945 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Douglas A. Young and Sarah Crow Young. Linda had a wonderful 47 year career with Ramsey Adjustment Service. She loved her job and all her coworkers. They were like her second family. Linda's favorite place was the mountains, especially Maggie's Valley. She enjoyed gardening, music, the beach, her Eau Claire School Girls many gatherings. and her VT crowd. Linda was a sweet person and had a big heart was especially loved by her family and her many lifetime friends. Survivors include her son, Gregory Keith Paschal; grandchildren, Zachary Douglas Paschal, Zoe Elizabeth Paschal, along with their mother, Sarah Dawn Robinson Paschal; sisters, Barbara Daniels (Walter), Sarah “Libby” Young, and Margaret Mathias-Brumbaugh (Phil); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis “Frank” Verner Paschal; son, Douglas Alexander Paschal, and long time companion, Bobby Lee Lowe. A funeral service will be held 1 o’clock, Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, with The Rev. R. Joseph Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o’clock.
