Mr. Thomas Albert Dixon

Thomas Albert Dixon, 86, of Lugoff, died on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Born in West Columbia, on November 20, 1935, he was a son of the late Henry Theodore and Geneva Hare Dixon. Mr. Dixon worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. He enjoyed being at home, especially spending time with his family, gardening, planting, re-potting flowers and making bird houses. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Peggy Hendrix Dixon; children, Vickie Polson, Pamela Campos, Mike Dixon (Alison); daughter-in-law, Christy Dixon; grandchildren, Michele Patton (Eugene), Timothy Stone (Kristina), Keith Stone (Leigh Ann) and Anna Dixon; great grandchildren, Kris Dixon, Kobie Dixon, Haley Dixon, Madison Patton, Emilee Brassell (Austin) and Kayleigh Stone; and one great-great grandchild, Willow Branham; siblings, Bobbie Tobias, Helen Blume, Ronald Dixon (Marvene) and Stanland Dixon (JoAnn). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Dixon and DeWayne Dixon; and his siblings, Margaret Brazell and J.W. Dixon. The funeral service for Mr. Dixon will be held at 3 o’clock, Wednesday, January 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Chapel, with Sister Judy Luke officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 2 o’clock.
