A. Frances Newnham, 86, of Columbia, died Friday, May 22, 2015. Miss Newnham was born June 21, 1928 in Hendersonville, NC to the late Charles A. Newnham and Alma Fetner Newnham. She was a secretary for a board member of the Civil Aeronautics Board, now known as the FAA.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, L. Kenneth Admire; nephews Michael K. Admire and David L. Admire, all of Columbia; and her dog, Ollie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Betty R. Admire.

The service for Miss Newnham will be held at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, May 26th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
