Obituary
Adrath Lee Short, 74, of Columbia, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Born February 27, 1940 in Baileysville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Posey and Julia Elizabeth Beavers Short.
Survivors include her sons, Chance S. Eriksen of Columbia, Steven R. Short; grandsons, Dalton L. Hicks, Steven R. Short, Jr.; granddaughter, Kayelee N. Short all of Mocksville, NC; sister, Jacqueline Blankenship; niece, Chrystal R. Stephens; great-nephew, Seth R. Stephens all of Columbia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Posey Short, Jr. and Shirley Short.
The service for Ms. Short will be held at 3 o'clock, Saturday, February 21st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 508 Hampton Street, Suite 200, Columbia, SC 29201.
