Agnes Beane Rosborough, 80, of Columbia, died Friday, December 26, 2014. Born in Laurinburg, NC on June 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late James Beane and Amelia Yow Beane. A member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed fellowship in the Presbyterian Women's Circle #3. She retired from the Clemson Extension Service and enjoyed volunteering at Bookman Road Elementary and her part-time work at the Hallmark Shop.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Lytle and Jennifer Rosborough; her son, Michael Rosborough; grandchildren, Sarah Kistler (Ryan), Emily Crosby (Will), Joseph and Melissa Lytle, Mitchel and Logan Rosborough; great-grandchildren, Lily and Thomas Kistler; sisters, Frances B. Hart, Sarah B. Riggins (Bill). In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
Agnes was a devoted "Mom", "Grandmama" and "GiGi" to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished her family and friends and loved sending cards to show her love. Agnes loved babies and children; her grand-children, Lily and Thomas brought her so much joy. She loved cooking wonderful food for her family and growing beautiful flowers. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The service for Mrs. Rosborough will be held at three o'clock, Tuesday, December 30th at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Ellen Skidmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
