Born August 19, 1926, in New York City, NY, Nibbie, as she was known, was the daughter of Caro Wyche Forbes and Maxwell Hallet Forbes. Nibbie grew up in Havertown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of South Carolina earning a BA and a Masters degree. As a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Nibbie served as president of the Pan Hellenic Council.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Thomas Belton Boyle, Jr.

Nibbie was a woman of deep faith. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral serving on the board and chairing the Daughters of the Holy Cross. Nibbie taught Sunday school and led many seminars at Trinity. She also served as a Field Associate for Faith At Work, Inc. in North and South Carolina.
Her devotion to the community led her to serve on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army for many years where she was elected as an Emeritus member. She was a member of the Junior League of Columbia, chairman of the Board of the Junior League Speech and Hearing Center and taught many classes in Career Planning. She also served on the Board of Palmetto Health and the Board of Historic Columbia Foundation. Nibbie was quite a presence in this world impacting the lives of all with whom she came in contact.
Being a member of several clubs, The Assembly (President), the National Society of the Colonial Dames, The Pine Tree Hunt Club, The Palmetto Club and Forest Lake Club rounded out her life and her love of people. One of her greatest joys was playing bridge with her many friends at Still Hopes.
