Alice House Haas, 86, of Lugoff (formerly of Columbia), died Saturday, September 29, 2018. Born on June 21, 1932, in Richland County, SC, she was a daughter of the late David Marion and Nancy Viola House. She loved fishing, going on vacation and being with her family every chance she had. Alice was a member at Hope Baptist Church, where she attended regularly until her health declined.

Survivors include her daughter, Christie Baker (Gilbert); sons, William Mark Haas and Robert R. Haas; grandchildren, Kelly Harris, Cindy Heartfield, Jenny Walsh (Chris), Mandy Jones (Kyle), Samantha Baker, Caroline Baker, Penny Bolin (Kevin) and Robert H. Haas, II (Ashleigh); nine great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Haas; a daughter, Marilyn (Lynn) Mack; and sisters, Rosalie Pacult and Elizabeth Vandermelle.

A graveside service to honor Mrs. Haas' life will be held 3 o'clock, Tuesday, October 2nd, at Memorial Gardens of Columbia, 9301 Wilson Blvd., Columbia 29203. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
