Alice C. Hicks, 76, of St. Augustine, Florida died Thursday, June 20, 2019. Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on December 18, 1942, she was a daughter to the late Charles W. and Agnes Walton Brooks. Mrs. Hicks, a certified welder, worked with St. Augustine Ship Builders, Sun Engineering, Bellinger Brothers, and helped with the refit of the Saratoga while dry docked at May Port, Florida. Mrs. Hicks was married to the late Carol B. Hicks, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew Aul (Kathleen) of Columbia, SC and Mark Aul (Valarie) of St. Augustine, FL; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Aul; and sister, Charlotte "Cookie" Quartermus (James) of Parksburg PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Charlie Franklin Aul; granddaughter, Elizabeth Raye Aul; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be June 27, 2019, in St. Augustine, Florida. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
