Alice Carolyn Scoggins, 96, of Columbia, died on Friday, November 18, 2022. Born in January 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mattie Jane Wallace Johnson. Mrs. Scoggins was a member of Shandon United Methodist Church and worked for Pepsi Bottling Company.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn (Cathy) Scoggins Bonaca and Sandra Scoggins Perot, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, James (Jay) Ernest Scoggins, III (Ginny), of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Troy Scoggins (Whitnie), Nancy Scoggins and Grant Scoggins; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Ernest Scoggins, Jr; and six brothers.

The graveside service for Mrs. Scoggins will be held at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, November 22nd, at Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
